Estructura factorial de la escala de estrés percibido (PSS) en una muestra de trabajadores chilenos

Resumen

OBJETIVO: evaluar la estructura factorial de la Escala de Estrés Percibido (PSS) de Cohen, Kamarck & Mermelstein (1983), en una muestra de trabajadores chilenos. METODO: Para estudiar la estructura factorial, hemos sometido los datos de 200 participantes de la ciudad de Antofagasta, Chile (62.5% mujeres), con una media de 39.14 años, a un Análisis Factorial Exploratorio, utilizando como estrategia para la retención de factores el Análisis Paralelo y la comparación del ajuste entre modelos anidados y competidores. RESULTADOS: La estructura factorial de dos factores encontrada es coherente con lo expuesto en estudios previos. CONCLUSION: la escala presenta evidencias de validez para su uso en la población estudiada.
