Abstract

At a time when education is in crisis, when many call for a profound renewal, we need to remember that the frst doctor in Pedagogy for our country is Father Alberto Hurtado. For him, education exists to look for the formation of citizens with social meaning, i.e. to promote in the student a development with social attitude.

In this process, the teacher has a big responsibility. The student not only absorbed, but learns to look for ideas and to look for the common good. The teacher teaches through his own testimony of life and their own pedagogy.
